Because of the TIME review, I was contacted and interviewed by Radio Australia! Will keep you posted when their story on Eiji Tsuburaya will be available.

Hey what's that book on the left called? The yellow one with King Kong and Godzilla on the cover?
Did your book get translated into Japanese? _________________ "The gigantic octopus is a slimy, loathsome creature and one of Tsuburaya's best creations."

Well, thanks for the congrats on the Barnes & Noble review -- I appreciate hearing that kind of feedback and congratulations, before being assailed with a "WHAT'S THAT?" about someone else's book.
But, seriously, I do have this in my library (can't find it now), it's a paperback book that came out in 2001 in the commemoration of Tsuburaya's centennial. Mostly essays by filmmakers and interviews with former colleagues.
Anyhow, my book has not been translated into Japanese, although there was some talk about a Japanese Edition at a meeting with Chronicle in the summer of 2006. _________________ August Ragone

Or so you're the guy who wrote that Eiji Tsuburaya book? You're that August Ragone feller the review mentioned? Well if I knew that then I would have congratulated you. Kudos on the positive review!
...
But seriously has this book gotten any bad reviews? I was hoping there would be one somewhere, so I can throw it into your face if we ever have an arguement about something on these boards.
Like this
GPO: And I say Arikawa's first name is TEISHO!!
August: Sorry to dissapoint you son, but his name is SADAMASA. It's written in ever friggin Japanese book about him, and he even said so himself.
GPO: Oh Yeah? Well, ummm, errr, your book got a bad review from ******, so what do you know!!
But no such luck.
