R.I.P. Forrest J. Ackerman

Sadly, Forry passed away today of heart failure. He had been ill for some time and it looked like he was on the mend for a bit, but alas it was not to be.

While Forry was responsible for lots of the misinformation about kaiju throughout the years (Godzilla won in "Kingu Kongu tai Gojira", "Anzilla", "Tadzilla" and MG fought Ghidrah in 1974), I have nothing but the supremest respect for him and what he did for genre pictures since he launched "Famous Monsters" in the late 50s.

We'll miss you, Forry. They don't make 'em like you anymore.

Yeah I read about this over at the CHFB. I never met him but he seemed like such a great guy. I'm glad he didn't suffer and died peacefully with friends.
